Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our services, policies, and what to expect when you bring your dog to Plumeria Paw.
Booking & Appointments
Clients may use the online booking button or contact Plumeria Paw directly through WhatsApp at +1 242 727 5784. We will confirm availability and gather your dog's details before scheduling.
Please share your dog's name, breed, age, approximate weight, a recent photograph, the requested service, the last professional grooming date, any health considerations, behaviour concerns, and your preferred appointment date. This helps us prepare appropriately.
Timing varies depending on the service, your dog's size, coat condition, temperament, and the level of care required. We recommend waiting for a collection notification before travelling to the facility rather than arriving at a fixed time.
Yes. Pet parents are always welcome to stay during their dog’s visit at Plumeria Paw. We understand that some dogs and their owners feel more comfortable remaining together, especially during a first visit or when additional reassurance is needed. Our goal is to create a calm, transparent and comfortable experience for both you and your dog. You are welcome to observe the care process while our team works according to Plumeria Paw’s professional handling and safety protocols. A better standard of care means you’re welcome to see it for yourself.
Grooming & Pricing
Pricing depends on the service type, your dog's size, breed, coat type, coat condition, behaviour, maintenance history, and the time required to complete the service safely. We do not publish a fixed price list because these factors vary significantly between dogs.
Preliminary guidance may be provided based on accurate information and photographs. However, the service and final cost may need to be adjusted after your dog and coat are assessed in person. We will always communicate any changes before proceeding.
Humane options will be discussed with you. Severe matting cannot always be brushed out safely, and attempting to do so can cause pain and skin damage. When necessary, a shorter reset groom may be recommended to protect your dog's comfort and skin. Our priority is humane care rather than preserving a longer style at any cost.
Reference photos are helpful and we welcome them. However, results depend on your dog's coat type, coat condition, structure, maintenance history, and what can be achieved safely. We will always discuss realistic expectations before beginning.
Plumeria Paw accepts cash, debit, PayPal and major credit cards. Secure electronic payment options may also be available for select services and advance bookings. For services requiring a deposit, payment instructions will be provided at the time of booking.
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to our late-cancellation terms. Where a deposit has been paid, refund or transfer eligibility will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We appreciate your consideration, as reserved appointment times are set aside specifically for your dog and allow our team to provide the attentive, unhurried care that defines the Plumeria Paw experience.
Dogs & Suitability
Yes, subject to health and vaccination policies. Early introductory appointments can help puppies become more comfortable with handling, equipment, and the grooming environment. A complete haircut is not guaranteed during the first visit, the priority is a calm, positive experience.
Senior dogs may be accepted based on health, mobility, temperament, and service suitability. Shorter sessions, simplified styling, or veterinary clearance may be recommended where appropriate. Please disclose any health conditions when booking.
We ask all owners to disclose behaviour honestly before booking. Acceptance depends on the individual dog, staff safety, available handling options, and whether the service can be completed humanely. We will always discuss options with you before making a decision.
Health & Safety
No. Grooming and canine esthetic services do not replace veterinary diagnosis or treatment. Dogs with persistent irritation, open wounds, infections, severe hair loss, unusual odour, pain, or other medical concerns may be referred to a veterinarian before service continues.
For the health and safety of every dog in our care, all boarding guests must have current Rabies and DHPP vaccinations. Proof of vaccination may be requested before your dog’s stay. Bordetella is not currently required for boarding at Plumeria Paw. If your dog is unable to receive a required vaccination for medical reasons, please contact us before booking so the circumstances can be reviewed. These requirements help us maintain a clean, responsible and well-managed environment for every guest entrusted to our care.
